ART AS INSTALLATION
question: what is better than making art?
answer: being asked to put your art on the walls of a public space!
back in the early 2000’s i did the walls of a salon called The Establishment in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. the salon is owned and operated my dear friends Carly and Howie. they decided to move back to Los Angeles and open a second location. WOW so much fun!

open for business on Wednesday June 15th for cuts colors facials and body waxing. they are an AVEDA salon so you can pick up your favorite hair skin and body care too!
the interior of the salon was created by design/build guy Derek Kistner of inkn wood. he is an amazing craftsman and totally knowledgable about the process of taking ideas and making them real, down to the littlest details!

Lately life is changing and so is my work. for years i have been focused on my decorative painting business with art making being my second (part time) job. since the beginning of this year the focus has flipped! i’ve been creating my own art and applying that to spaces along with digging deeper into photography.
i’ll be posting my progress here. hope you enjoy the show!
